The pour
The Board.
A beautiful wooden bar. Bourbon, and whatever the evening requires. The house keeps the pours honest and the stools close.

Roanoke · Private
A private house in Roanoke. Bourbon, cigars, cards, and a course that never leaves the building.
Membership is by introduction. The house does not advertise a door.

The pour
A beautiful wooden bar. Bourbon, and whatever the evening requires. The house keeps the pours honest and the stools close.

The lounge
Green velvet, leather, and the clock on the wall. Time is supposed to slow down here. That is the point.

Cards
A proper poker table, black leather, and a room that stays quiet until the cards are out. Hands are played in the house, not on a screen.

Golf
Eighteen holes that never leave the building. Down the stairs, book the bay, take a club, and play while the rest of the house goes on above you.

Shuffleboard
A long board of waxed maple. Scores are kept. Arguments are not.

The house keeps
Numbered oak lockers with mesh doors. Cigars, a bottle, a jacket. What belongs to you stays here until you return.

Air
Black steel doors, brick across the way, a chair in the sun. Smoke outside when the weather is decent. Come back in when it is not.

The hours belong to the house
Bourbon. Cigars. Cards. A course indoors. A locker with your name on it. If you already belong, you know. If you do not, someone will have to say so.
